Mitte Bitte! Stadtkulturfestival

Autobahn | graphic design: Mitte Bitte! Stadtkulturfestival; nr 1

In March 2008, the centre of Utrecht got overwhelmed with German (pop) culture for nine days. The Mitte Bitte! Stadtkulturfestival presented music, film and literature of German origin. The festival took place on many different locations: the Louis Hartlooper Complex, ACU, SJU Jazzpodium and Tivoli to name a few.
The similiarity between Utrecht and Berlin lies in the name of the festival: Mitte is the sparkling, creative centre of modern Berlin, and Utrecht is the creative centre of the Netherlands. Kletter, the organisation that produces Mitte Bitte!, asked Autobahn to express this similarity in the festival identity. Through edgy 'tape-o-graphy', DIY solutions and raw photography of industrial areas, Utrecht and Berlin meet each another. Autobahn developed the program booklet, several flyers and posters and the banners.
