Jazz-a-Palooza


Summer festival Jazz-a-Palooza, produced by SJU Jazzpodium, takes place in the Utrecht neighbourhood Wijk C every year. All the pubs are transformed into little concert stages and there is also jazz music outside. Jazz-a-Palooza demonstrates that jazz music doesn't always have to be 'intellectual', but can be suitable for a broad audience. The SJU Jazzpodium, actually situated in Wijk C., asked Autobahn for a festival identity that clearly shows the character of the festival: summer, freedom, pleasant music and a laidback atmosphere. These properties are visualised with the cheerful color palette and the loose illustration style. The programme booklet is printed in pocket size, so the audience can easily find its way around the festival.
