Poster design for Vredenburg
Mieczyslaw Weinberg is one of the greatest composers of the twentieth century. However, he has always remained fairly unknown and has been put in the shadow of his great friend Shostakovich until this very day. With the Weinberg Weekend Vredenburg aims to draw our attention to this neglected composer.
The poster was designed by cutting the MW logo from a piece of paper and folding it. Subsequently, the paper was placed on a red background and photographed. The whole process has a ’30s look and feel, which matches well with the spirit of Weinberg’s time.
